The main goal of this symposium was to bring together researchers working in related aspects to present their recent results and to exchange their views. In detail, researchers from various units focused on the mode analysis and control of polygonal microcavity lasers, as well as the development and application of coupled and integrated microcavity lasers. In short, it was a highly fascinating symposium.
